This first volume of the series contains a complete identification section for W.R.A. Co. headstamped ammunition. Topics covered are bullets including lead, Rabbeth, soft point, full patch (FMJ), tracer, etc. Case features and types, primers, and loadings such as shot, blank, and dummy are also included. Complete loading data and histories of each calibre are contained along with scale drawings by E.L. Scranton. Box labels, gages, cutaway specimens and x-rays of some bullets are another feature. In the cartridge box history and identifications section ten pages of colour photos show some of the more unusual colours and styles of labels. Photos of weapons, cartridge boards and patent drawings are a bonus for the avid collector as well as historian.
